How it works
One short session a day. Here’s how it goes.
Everything your learner does, in order.
A day, in four steps
About 10 minutes, start to finish.
Open
Today’s session is ready when they open MemClick. It combines current course material with earlier ideas due for review.
Answer
Each card asks for one specific answer, such as a definition, formula, date, vocabulary term, or diagram label.
Rate
Your learner rates how well they recalled it. Four options, no score.
Adjust
MemClick uses each rating to choose when that card should return.
Watch a session
The whole rhythm, in half a minute.
Each session follows the same clear rhythm: open, answer, rate.
The rating
What “rate how well you knew it” means.
Coming back to it
Returns again later in this same session
Close, but not quite
Returns soon
Knew it with a little effort
Returns after a normal gap
Knew it quickly
Returns after a longer gap
The timing adjusts for each learner and each card. Repeated reliable recalls can lengthen the gap from days to weeks, then longer. A single rating does not create a long gap.
Why it works
Recalling an answer strengthens the memory.
Looking at notes can feel familiar quickly. Trying to recall the answer, even when it takes effort, makes later recall more likely.
Seeing it, not just reading it
When a concept is visual, so is the explanation.
The answer comes from memory first. Afterward, a MemClip may use a diagram to explain the idea more clearly. The picture supports understanding, and later recall practice strengthens the memory.
What MemClick is not
Focused memory practice.
Not a replacement for teaching
A hint can help when they are stuck. After the answer, a MemClip may explain the idea in plain language.
Not a calculator
No setting up equations or doing multi-digit arithmetic.
Not a test
No grades, no timers, no public scores.
MemClick works alongside school. It gives key ideas short recall practice after class without replacing the lesson.
Getting set up
Start on your device. Practice happens on theirs.
Two steps happen on your device, then your learner enters one code on theirs. The whole setup takes about three minutes.
Add your learner
Their first name, grade, and school. High schoolers also pick their courses.
Get a setup code
MemClick shows a 6-letter code, a QR code, and a link you can share. The code works for 24 hours.
Enter the code
Open the MemClick app on the phone or tablet they will use, or go to study.memclick.com in any browser. Nothing to install on the web. Enter the code there.
Connected
Their device or browser is ready for practice. You can follow their progress from the family dashboard. Use a separate device or browser session for each learner so progress stays separate.
To add another learner later, repeat these steps with a new code on their device or browser session.
About 10 minutes a day, with each session already prepared.
